Well , hello!
A simple answer to the question:
Who is she?
Catherine Luciani is a mixed Puerto Rican/Italian American actress and proud Connecticut native. She is a recent alum of FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training (MFA in Acting) and holds a BA in Theatre from Hamilton College.
Catherine cannot be defined simply, but perhaps she can be described poetically. As a poet and performing artist, she holds a passion for life and is always willing to explore and try new things. Due to her "perpetual-learner" mentality, Catherine is a 2x marathoner, hiker, volleyballer, skier, water skier, scuba diver, martial artist (karate), golfer (okay, she loves sports)! She also loves to fight...onstage! She is considered an actor-combatant and has certifications in stage combat for: single sword, unarmed, knife, and rapier/dagger. She loves music and dancing, being known to hit the dance floor at parties and always be down for karaoke. Catherine also loves languages (in another life, she'd be a linguist)! She is a certified TESL/TEFL Teacher, studied IPA, and is proficient in Spanish and some Japanese. And the list goes on...but to make it short, she loves life, nature, people, and the stories they all hold.
In her acting, Catherine seeks to live boldly and honestly in her work, always seeking truth and authenticity in her performances. A true collaborative spirit, that gives and receives energy from all around her, she loves her work and wakes every day excited by its potential. For her, art is bringing voice/awareness to audiences through story, while simultaneously sharing as fellow humans in those in discoveries to foster connection and understanding.
